I struggle to imagine the prevailing emotion one must feel as a Bournemouth fan in the Premier League. On the one hand, it feels nothing short of miraculous that the are about to embark on their 5th year at the top table, but on the other, I feel like whenever that cold harsh reality of relegation finally catches up with them that it will feel like a horrible reveal of a long-con practical joke giving them a taste of the sweet life.

Last season Spurs fans were revelling in the opportunities their 1BN stadium was going to open – meanwhile the reality for Bournemouth is that the following number of clubs have a greater capacity at their grounds:

19 (ie all) Premier League clubs

21 Championship clubs

15 League One clubs

6 League Two clubs

1 National League club

1 National League North club

So while I do still fear for the moment Bournemouth have to wake up from their beautiful dream, I have a feeling it is not going to be this year. They have a handful of players that could arguably be called the most underrated (Ryan Fraser and David Brooks to name two) and they seem to have a knack of pulling unexpected results out of the bag to the extent that after 5 years them going away to Man City and winning would be the most predictable of impossible results.
